The TRUE Treadmill Series is almost here—mark your calendar! Train with friends near and far while exploring Watopia as you take on this workout series from February 8-28, 2021. 

 

Get ready to take your stride to the next level with three workouts designed to highlight the best Zwift has to offer. First up is the Tempo Run—where you’ll get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Next is the Speed Run—designed to take your fastest gear up a notch! And finally, the Hill Run—the secret sauce to any training regime to build that strength. Deep breaths, you’ve got this!

 

UNLOCKS:

The Tempo workout in this series unlocks the in-game cap. The Speed Run unlocks the run shirt. And the Hill workout completes the series, guaranteeing you an entry to be eligible to win the IRL prize—a top of the line TRUE treadmill.

THE WORKOUTS:

 

WORKOUT 1: Tempo Run

Welcome to the first workout—the tempo run. This is the pace that teaches your body to be comfortable being uncomfortable by maintaining a quick and steady pace for a specified distance. You won’t be able to say more than a few sentences at a time, so make sure your laces are tied and you’re ready to go.  

  • WORLD: Watopia
  • ROUTE: Chili Pepper
  • DURATION: 53 minutes (time-based)

 

WORKOUT 2: Speed Run

Ever wanted to improve your speed? Now’s your chance. Speed workouts are the best way to improve your fastest pace. Interval training is the best way to improve your speed. These types of sessions are typically short bursts of fast running, followed up with a comfortable jog at recovery pace. The goal is to run hard for a short period of time and then catch your breath on the recovery, then do it all again! Champions eat these workouts for breakfast.

  • WORLD: Watopia
  • ROUTE: May Field
  • DURATION: 40 minutes (time-based)

 

WORKOUT 3: Hill Run

Love hills? Then this workout is for you! The view is great from the top–so take a deep breath and tell your legs to hold on!

  • WORLD: New York
  • ROUTE: Park to Peak
  • DISTANCE: 2.9 mi // 4.7 km (distance-based)
  • ELEVATION: 413 ft // 126 m
