ABOUT THIS WORKOUT
Come bike with Laval University triathlon club for our Wednesday night workouts. Instructions will be given both in french and english and everyone is welcome to join. This week’s workout will have 3 sets. All sets will have efforts in zone 6 of varying length. We’ll take a break from the workout during the holiday. We’ll be back on January 9th.
WORKOUT DESIGNER
Pierre-Yves Gigou is an ex pro triathlete who is now coaching professional triathletes competing on the ITU and Ironman series. He is also the head coach of Laval University triathlon club. Pierre-Yves has a master in kinesiology with a focus on sports physiology.
ABOUT GROUP WORKOUTS
Zwifters line up in the starting area just like a normal event and once the event starts, workout mode begins. Everyone stays together regardless of power output. That's right, if you're outputting 100W and another Zwifter is outputting 400W you will stay in exactly the same position relative to each other. Only if you stop pedaling and fall 6 meters behind the group will the rubber-banding stop. We highly recommend doing one of the FTP tests as the estimated FTP can be inaccurate and make the difficulty level of the workouts too high for your current fitness level.
