If you have ever seen a sunset on Watopia and wished you could capture it in a photo, you’re in luck! Zwift makes it easy to take screenshots from your computer or mobile device.
To take a screenshot on a Windows PC or a Mac, just press the F10 button on your keyboard. Each one will be saved on your computer to view later. The first screenshot you snap from each ride will have a “clean” version without sidebars or other overlays. That way, you can get a good look at your avatar and the surrounding scenery.
Are you running Zwift on an iOS mobile device like an iPhone or iPad? Tap the Zwift screen once to bring up the action bar, then tap the camera button to take a photo. You also can use this method to take a photo with Apple TV, but we recommend using Zwift Companion so that you can easily save and find screenshots.
When using Zwift with the Zwift Companion mobile app, there is a screenshot button in the action bar near the bottom of your screen. You can scroll to the right to find it. Tap on the camera icon, and presto! You’ve got a souvenir photo of whatever’s on screen. Highly recommended if you’re climbing the Alpe du Zwift.
Finding Your Photos
Screenshots taken during a Zwift session are saved in a folder on your computer or mobile device. On a Windows PC or a Mac, look in your computer’s Pictures folder for a folder labeled “Zwift.” Screenshots taken with the iOS app or Zwift Companion will appear in your device’s camera roll. Now you can share your favorites to social media or upload them to Strava!
More Tips
- Want a different camera angle? Try hitting the numbers 1 through 9 on your keyboard, or tapping the eyeball icon in the Zwift Companion action bar. When you press the number 0 on your keyboard in any of these views, you can move the camera around using the “+”, “-”, and arrow keys. Then snap away!
- There is a photo studio for your avatar built into the customization menu. After you choose your jersey, accessories, bike, and wheels, click the video camera button to open the studio. Click the camera icon to take a screenshot, or click the video camera again to go back to the menu.
