EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join Utah-based marathon runner Jordan Maddocks who will lead a 60 minutes speed session. The workouts will be one of the following:

MICHIGAN

15 minute warmup
12 minutes @ marathon pace / 80% effort
5 minutes @ 5k pace / 90% effort
12 minutes @ marathon pace / 80% effort
2.5 minutes @ 5k pace / 90% effort
12 minutes @ marathon pace / 80% effort
1.5 minutes ALL OUT 100% effort

REPEAT INTERVALS

15 minute warmup
We will switch it up depending on the day and either do 3, 4, 5, or 6 minute intervals with 2 min rest in between each interval.
The "ON" intervals will be at 90-95% effort and the 2 minute "OFF" cool-downs will be either a walk or a jog (whatever you require to recover and go again).

ORGANIC FAST FINISH

15 minutes easy and gradually increase effort as you go. The goal here is to run goal (marathon/half marathon) pace in the final third of the run--final 20 minutes.

We will post on the 'Zwift Runners' Facebook group every Sunday prior to the event which workout we'll be doing for the coming week.

ABOUT JORDAN MADDOCKS

I'm a sub 2:34 Marathoner out of Draper, Utah, USA. I’ve been running for over 14 years. Running is my passion, It's what keeps me centered and where I find solace. I love coaching and assisting others in setting their fitness goals and achieving them. I've been hosting Dusk Patrol on Zwift for over two years. In 2020, I set the world record for the fastest marathon ran in a fruit costume (Chiquita Banana -- 2:41) at the Arizona Rock 'n Roll Marathon. My current goal with running is to qualify for the Olympic Trials in 2024. When I'm not training I operate a retail clothing company/brand with my wife. Running has been my foundation to live a healthy balanced life and I absolutely love it.
