EVENT DESCRIPTION
WELCOME TO THE RAPHA CYCLING CLUB WORLD WIDE GROUP RIDE.

This is a social group workout; a chance every week for members to get together from around the globe, ride, chat and support each other - it’s run as a group workout session with ‘keep everyone together’ enabled so no matter what your pace you’ll stay in the pack - it’s not a race or competition and open for anyone to join us.
We host 4 rides every week on a Tuesday to suit different time zones around the world (aimed at evenings), join whichever time works best for you.

WHO IS THE RCC?

The Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) is, as the name suggests, Rapha’s Cycling Club. The RCC exists to help connect like minded riders from all over the world, underpinned by Rapha’s products and experiences. We ride together across continents and here united within Zwift.

RIDE LEADERS

The rides are led by our friendly team of member ride leaders from around the world. The Leader (who has a yellow beacon over their head) will ride at a steady pace as set by the workout session. Prompts will appear on screen set by the workout designer Matt Rowe so you know what to do throughout the ride. On most occasions we will have a support ride leader (who will also have a beacon), the ride leaders are there to help support you and keep the banter going - to join the chat use the Zwift Companion smartphone app.

ABOUT GROUP WORKOUTS

Zwifters line up in the starting area just like a normal event and once the event starts, workout mode begins. Everyone stays together regardless of power output. That's right, if you're outputting 100W and another Zwifter is outputting 400W you will stay in exactly the same position relative to each other. Only if you stop pedaling and fall 6 meters behind the group will the rubber-banding stop.

ABOUT THIS WORKOUT

Today's workout contains 4 x 6 minute blocks of Zone 3, with some surges thrown in for good measure! The Zone 3 riding should feel nice and comfortable, however the surges may sting a little. The surges in each block are only 20 seconds long, but at 110% of FTP so require a focused increase in effort .At the end of each 6 minute block, there is a 1 minute 'Free Ride' - this is your chance to turn an endurance based session into something special! Come event day or when riding with friends, it's likely you want some more power for that final sprint to the cafe right? Give it 100% in each 60 second Free Ride section to help you become more explosive! Stress points 45: #Social

WORKOUT DESIGNER

Matt Rowe is the founder of Rowe & King Coaching (www.roweandking.comOpens a new window) with 25 years of cycling experience, coaching amateur cyclists all over the world to achieve their personal goals.

HELPFUL HINT

We highly recommend doing one of the FTP tests as the estimated FTP can be inaccurate and make the difficulty level of the workouts too high for your current fitness level.
You can adjust the difficulty of the workout mid-ride if needed, by using the up/down arrows on the left hand side, under the workout details.

HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE RIDE.
