EVENT DESCRIPTION
For triathletes, October means one-thing: Kona. Unfortunately, the big dance can't happen this year so we thought we'd bring the Kona fun to you. Introducing 17 Hours of Kona!

Join the fun with a social ride or run this weekend and celebrate one of the most anticipated races in the triathlon calendar. We’ve packed the schedule with stars of the sport including Mark Allen, Craig Alexander, Jan Frodeno, Javier Gomez, Lucy Charles-Barclay, Sarah Crowley, Michellie Jones, and many more! These pros will lead Zwift community members through social rides and runs throughout a 17-hour period starting at 7 a.m. Hawaiian Time (HST), when the start cannon would have gone off on race day.

So why 17 hours?
17 hours is the time cutoff given to all athletes competing in Kona. While top pros may never experience the agony of trying to finish just before midnight, many triathletes out there have raced in the dark with the sole aim of crossing that finish line under 17 hours.
Both the rides and runs will be at a steady pace, which allows for lots of fascinating Kona stories. Be sure to pick up some tips for your next trip to the Big Island.
