EVENT DESCRIPTION
If you’ve been following Zwift, you’ve heard of Shane Miller or you’ve read the blog LAMA Cycling. Shane is an IT man by day and an indoor cyclist by night. And this season, he’s looking for badges. Think you have what it takes? Come together with the global community as we hunt badges and meet our friendly Aussie Tech expert!
Shane will lead three rides along three different routes throughout the series. Don’t miss out on these high-energy group rides where you can chat alongside Shane as you ride each event.
Ride 3: Saturday, June 26 — 14.30 PDT (Sunday June 27 — 7:30 AEST)
ABOUT THE ROUTE:
Watopia | Tour of Fire and Ice
World: Watopia
Route: Tour of Fire and Ice
Total Distance: 25.5 km // 15.8 mi
Total Elevation Gain: 1,161 m // 3,809 ft
Lead-in: 2.8 km // 1.7 mi
Shane estimates that today's ride will take 1 hours and 44 minutes, as long as you stick with the beacon!
Tour of Fire and Ice:
This route begins at the downtown Watopia start pier. After passing through the Volcano banner you head directly across the land bridge, up the twisty dirt climb to the Italian Villas. Hope you brought your climbing legs!

Through Shane Miller’s years of racing, he’s used indoor training a lot. A regular on Zwift since the Beta days, he also collects indoor trainers, power meters, and almost anything else related to bike tech.

Nope. It’s just a training series, which means joining the community and making each other stronger on the pedals and faster on the roads while exploring new areas on Zwift. And it’s about going head-to-head with a tough adversary: yourself.
