Galaxy CC are proud to announce - Galaxy RLZ Racing Series!
To celebrate the start of the new racing season, we are holding our own race series starting Sat 9th September for 9 weeks.
The first 6 weeks will be the same courses as Round 1 of ZRL plus 3 bonus races to fill the gap up to ZRL Round 2.
3 different race times are available on Saturdays: 8.15am, 12.20pm and 5.15pm UTC. Individual leagues will be setup for each timezone. For the series, you will need to race in the same time zone each week to have your points carried over into the league. Best 7 out of 9!
Race 1: 9th September 2023; Rolling Highlands Scratch Race; 3 Laps
Race 2: 16th September 2023; Makuri 40 Points Race; 1 Lap FTS/FAL on Country Fwd Sprint; Village Fwd Sprint; Castle Park Fwd Sprint; Shisa Fwd Sprint
Race 3: 23rd September 2023; Roule Ma Poule Scratch Race; 1 Lap
Race 4: 30th September 2023; Tour of Tewit Well Scratch Race; 2 Laps
Race 5: 7th October 2023; Makuri Temples & Towers Points Race; 1 Lap FTS/FAL on Temple Fwd Climb; Castle Climb; Rooftop Fwd Climb
Race 6: 14th October 2023; Greatest London Flat Scratch Race; 1 Lap
Race 7: 4th November 2023; Climbers Gambit Scratch Race; 1 Lap
Race 8: 28th October 2023; Fan Flats Points Race; 4 Laps FTS/FAL on Monument Ave
Race 9: 21st October 2023; Loch Loop iTT Race; 3 Laps, TT bike allowed
Finishing points: Top ten finishers: 40, 35, 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 23; then 11th to 15th: 20 points, 16th to 20th: 19 points, etc, down to 1 point for 84th+
Fastest Across Segment (FTS): 20, 15, 10, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
First Across the Line (FAL) points: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Individual standings for the league are determined by the total points accumulated across the races and the best 7 out of 9 races count. Team standings are determined by the top 6 team members in each category per race.
Zwift Category Enforcement using (Open/Mixed Pace Groups) will be used. If you are at risk of upgrading please enter all races at the higher category as points cannot be transferred. Galaxy CC reserve the right to DQ a rider if a rider's power exceeds cat limits during a race and may request that a rider race up a category based on their previous racing history. A HRM and a power meter/smart trainer is required (no ZPower users).

You'll need to finish a few rides before you can join your first scored race. With more data we'll be able to recommend the best group for you to compete against.
