BMTR Faster Masters Sub2 Hour 100 KM Challenge
Group Ride
event-snapshot
EVENT DESCRIPTION
The goal of this challenge is to complete the 100-kilometer event in less than two hours by keeping the average speed at a target of 50 kph (31 mph)!

Good group racing and drafting techniques, as done in a team time trial event, will be the key to success; that is, we will rotate through high w/kg pulls in front followed by periods of recovery within the group. Please, follow instructions from the Yellow and Red Beacons, along with the Faster Masters support crew.

Bring your team and rotate pulls together, or join as an individual to help with the pulls and rotations with others in the group; either way will help us reach our objective!

We have designed this ride for speed by:

1. Placing all event riders on the fastest Time Trial Frame (Cadex Tri) and Wheels (DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut Disc wheel sets).
2. Choosing Zwift’s fastest and flattest course (Tempus Fugit)
3. Enabling Double Draft with the use of Time Trial bikes

Obviously, at these speeds, riders will get dropped along the way. Sweeping will not be available in this event. If you are dropped you may use Late Join for the first 30 minutes. After 30 minutes we encourage you to form smaller groups and work together to finish the ride to obtain what may be your fastest 100 km event ever. If you complete the entire event you will receive a finishing time.

While groups have tried several times, sub-two-hour metric centuries have only been achieved twice before on Zwift. By working together to execute our plan, we can become the third and those who participate will be able to add their name to an elite group of Zwifters who have achieved this.

Please join us for an epic battle against the clock!
