EVENT DESCRIPTION
A weekly tempo ride sponsored by the Queen of the Classics Tour of The Battenkill Race. In true Battenkill fashion the ride will be on hilly courses. The ride starts with a 10 minute warmup at 1.5w/kg then 2 - 2.5 w/kg on the flats and 2.5 - 3 w/kg on the climbs. The ride will regroup at the top of climbs for 30 seconds and the leader will not exceed 3 w/kg. Not a race so no chasing of riders off the front. The goal of the ride is 60-75 minutes at a steady tempo pace, the distance in the future may be adjusted to more closely match the time frame.
