Velos Monuments: Amstel Gold Race

Join Team Velos for our Spring Classics series of the Monument Races🌼🚴♂️🚴🏼♀️🌸
After 3 flatter stages we leave the cobbles behind, and our 8th race out of 12 takes us into hilly territory. Next up on Friday: the Amstel Gold Race🍺🏔️ We find in Yorkshire’s Royal Pump Room 8 the suitable course to test our 2 and 5 minute power, and will race 1 full lap including the Yorkshire KOM in both directions. (The Yorkshire Sprint will not count for points.)
Climb 1: Yorkshire KOM = FTS
Climb 2: Yorkshire KOM Reverse = FAL
This event counts as a single race only. For our GC riders, you can use this as a warm-up for Liège-Bastogne-Liège next week.🥵🏆 And this week is a points race, with the following scoring used for both KOM segments: 20,17,15,13,11,10,9,8,7,6 awarded to the top ten on each climb. Finish points will be awarded as follows: 100, 90, 80, 75, 70, 65, 63, 62, 61, 60 for the first ten across the line, reducing by one point for subsequent finishers. Maximum points available = 140.
