EVENT DESCRIPTION
Have you heard? Geraint Thomas is starting his own cycling club—the GTCC. And Zwift is here for it. 2020 has brought cyclists together from all over the world like never before, and this is a great opportunity to join like-minded riders in the community. To kick things off, the celebrated 2018 Tour de France winner will be hosting a weekly podcast with close friend and author of his books, Tom Fordyce.
Tune in every week as this duo builds a cycling club from scratch. Group rides start Wednesday January 27. These are socially paced and will be led by Geraint or Tom.
So who’s on the podcast? Take a look at the first three episodes!
January 13: Richie Porte offers time-tested tips on climbing.
January 20: Ian Stannard talks legacy and shares career updates.
January 27: Fashion designer Paul Smith talks kit design during the Cycling Club's first podcast ride.
You’ll be able to connect and ask the hosts questions while listening to the podcast in-game, so make sure to turn up the volume.
Stream the latest episode from wherever you get your podcasts.
IS THIS A RACE?
No. These are social, one-hour rides—they just happen to be led by one of the fastest pros in the world. The pace will be relaxed and the rotating courses will be relatively flat.
The first route will take you through Watopia’s Waistband.
The fence will be enabled but not strictly enforced.
Join the series every Wednesday from 6pm-7pm GMT (10am-11am PST).
