Welcome to fresh new workouts every week! Each week this series will feature new workouts that will be tied to any of our major stage events - so your training will complement any rides you may already be planning to join.

Missed a group workout? No problem! We’ll feature all workouts in the “Workouts of the Week” folder to tackle on your own time. A word of caution though, they’ll only be around for a short time before new workouts come through. As soon as you see one you’re interested in, hop on it quick!

This workout is from our Garmin UNBOUND Gravel on-demand Training Plan, be sure to check out the other workouts if you enjoy this one! Having grit, or being able to persevere from a challenge, is a key trait when undertaking a challenge like UNBOUND. Riding at tempo for extended periods of time is a good way to test yourself in training. Tempo riding is also a great way to improve your aerobic efficiency. Today's session consists of a pair of long tempo efforts. However, to make this more specific to UNBOUND and focus more on muscular endurance, the target cadence starts at 75RPM and increases by 5RPM every 5min. UNBOUND Gravel is a grassroots event, organized and managed by folks who are passionate about cycling, and have done so for the primary purpose of providing life-enriching cycling experiences for event participants
