Half Wheel Hold Your Line is a weekly Tuesday training race focused on community, tactics, and fitness. All categories (A/B/C/D/E) race together in a mass start.
What is a training race? It is competitive, but training (to the bitter end). There is an acknowledgement from all that competitors are trusted training partners and teammates, and everyone’s intentions are positively motivated by athletic improvement. When the dust settles, we want to feel as though our own performance has not come at the expense of others.
Test moves. Risk failure. Go hard. Find something to win.
Recommended Best Practices:
- Late join is welcomed and can help shorten your effort if needed
- Use near-real-time weight for the best racing experience
- Use a direct-drive smart trainer for power, cadence, and control
- Dual-record your on-bike power meter to a head unit for backup and peace of mind
- Race skill is developed by riding near others, not solo
- Exploiting the game or your approach to athleticism is easy to spot and impossible to respect
- Use in-game chat with sincerity. Avoid sarcasm (unless you’re good at it)
