Welcome to season 5 of the F365 Racing League, it's an 11 week series to test all riding abilities, from flat out sprints to the longer threshold efforts of a hill climb, there should be a race for everyone - especially those who aren't involved in the Thursday TTTs! Over the past few years, we’ve built a loyal following with competitive races, budding rivalries, and plenty of returning competitors.
Week 8 takes us to the Makuri Islands for some action on the Flatland Loop, each category will be doing 2 laps, this is a points race meaning that you get bonus points for being in the top 10 First Across the Line (FAL) on the prime segment below :
Country Sprint (0.13km, 0%): 25,20,18,16,14,12,10,5,3,1
Village Sprint (0.14km, 0%): 25,20,18,16,14,12,10,5,3,1
These segments will be contested on BOTH laps for ALL categories
Finishing points for the top 25 riders are as follows : 100,95,90,85,80,75,70,65,60,55,50,45,40,35,30,25,20,15,10,5,5,5,5,5,5 all riders finishing lower than 25th will receive 2 points.
This race series will utilize the newly released Zwift Racing Score for pen categorisation, with the following custom boundaries:
E (0-275)
D (275-400)
C (400-500)
B (500-600)
A (600-1000)
If you are near the top or bottom of your category, there is a good chance you may be promoted or relegated - this is a good result either way! It’s a new system that may be adjusted over the course of the season by ZHQ, so please set expectations accordingly!Your best 8 results contribute to the overall individual and team leaderboards.
Steering is enabled for this series.
A Heart Rate monitor will be required or your result will be removed from ZwiftPower.
Please do not utilise ‘unusual pedalling techniques’ such as sprint coasting or sticky watts. If you are not likely to do it outside, don’t do it on the trainer.
Friendly bantz and rivalries are encouraged, but don’t be a plum!
