ZWIFT ACCOUNTS FOR CHILDREN
While we want Zwift to be open to everyone, regardless of age, our primary concern is protecting your child's privacy and safety while using our platform. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR, children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use Zwift without written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Zwift Membership fees for children
If your child is under 16, their Zwift account will be free until they are 16 years old. After they turn 16, you'll have to pay the regular monthly membership fee for them to continue using Zwift.
Your child must be at least five (5) years old to Zwift.
As your child engages with our community, we encourage you to monitor their activity within Zwift and promote best Internet practices.
If you don't already have a Zwift account for yourself as a parent/guardian - create one. You won't need to set up a paid membership as the purpose of this account is to monitor your child's activity in Zwift.
Additionally, we suggest following the tips below:
- Avoid including your child's age in their username.
- Make your child's profile private with the Zwift Companion (ZC) app, directions are available here.
Caution: If you don't set your child's account to private, other Zwifters will be able to view information regarding their age, height, weight, and activity in Zwift and can follow them to receive push notifications when they join the game.
Note: With the exception of messages from group ride leaders, our in-game chat feature is disabled for accounts associated with users under 13 years of age.
