EVENT DESCRIPTION
This March, Zwifters around the world are celebrating the vital role women have played throughout sport history. To anyone who’s ever defied the status quo in order to promote women’s equality, the 2022 Women’s Ride and Run Series is for you.
Pave your own path forward with the Women’s Ride and Run Series, a collection of women-only, in-game events designed to get you moving—featuring Power of the Pack Rides and Runs on International Women’s Day, Tuesday Podcast Rides, Wednesday Workout of the Week takeovers, and Saturday Community Rides and Runs.
Settle into 45-minute group rides every three hours throughout the day as we highlight prominent women in the cycling community. Each week we’ll share a fresh WRRS Podcast Ride episode created specifically for the Women’s Ride and Run Series.
March 22 with Sharron Yaxley
Hear from the first woman to hit 100,000 km on Zwift, Sharron Yaxley. Listen in to learn what motivates her, who inspires her, and how she continues to smash all her sessions on Zwift.
World: Makuri Islands
Route: Suki’s Playground
Distance: 18.5 km // 11.5 mi
Elevation: 150 m // 492 ft
Looking for more inspiration? Check out the stories of trailblazers like Kittie Knox, Eileen Gray, Kathrine Switzer, and Billie Jean King on the Zwift.com/Women page.
