EVENT RULES
This event has the following requirements:
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join your coach, 3-time Olympic gold medalist, Kristin Armstrong, along with special guests and cycling mentors, for KX3 Lifestyle + Coaching’s weekly women’s group ride! Whether you are new to cycling or looking to take your riding to the next level, each unique 60-minute ride is designed to help you develop and improve upon aerobic fitness, cycling specific strength, and fuel efficiencies, all while having FUN and learning about all things Zwift!
We’ll mix it up each week to bring in different efforts and challenges, ensuring that we keep the advertised pace and do our best to keep everyone together. Be ready for the occasional Tempo or Sweet Spot interval challenge, and perhaps a structured workout thrown in from time to time, test your fast-twitch muscles as we chase Sprint Jerseys, and escalate your climbing skills on KOM’s we’ll throw in here and there! Shared tips and how-to’s about Zwift and the Zwift Companion App will help you on your way to leveling up, shopping the Drop Shop, riding with Pacer Bots, filling your garage, or heck, hopefully earning your Tron Bike and more!
The name KX3 is a tribute to Kristin and her three gold medals won in the women’s individual time trial in the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games. Designed by women for women, the new KX3 Lifestyle + Coaching membership program offers access to a welcoming and supportive community of women looking to gain further strength, confidence, and connection both on and off the bike, through the sport of cycling.
KX3 Members will have access to monthly group coaching sessions led by Kristin Armstrong and joined by experts in a number of fields, monthly social connection via Zoom through coffee and wine chats on shared topics, invitations to special Zwift group rides and structured workouts, and special discounts on KX3 industry partner products and merchandise. Looking for additional training guidance? Our KX3 coaching plans on TrainingPeaks allow you to define your desired outcomes, choose a program specific to training 100% indoors on Zwift, entirely outdoors if your seasonal weather permits, or a hybrid of both. From there, our blueprint will help you manage and follow a phased, purposeful progression through the KX3 Coaching System, and you can track your progress along the way. Power of 2's!
This week we are going to bring our intensity up a notch. We will work our Vo2 (Zone 5) system mixed in with a bit of Threshold; however, our main focus is on our VO2. We will be putting in as much effort as we can in each of the 2-minute efforts without dropping the power throughout. We will be working at 115-120% of our FTP for a total of 12 minutes. This workout will increase your Vo2 and prepare your top end for any type of event and duration that requires going hard – road race, mtb race, Time Trial, Criterium, Gran Fondo – you name it! Our time will be spent at 115% or greater of our FTP, Zone 5. Come in prepared and rested – we will be going for it right out of the gate!

You'll need to finish a few rides before you can join your first scored race. With more data we'll be able to recommend the best group for you to compete against.
