EVENT DESCRIPTION
Andre “the Gorilla” Greipel is a legend. Over his 16-year career, he’s pulled off 158 wins—including 11 Tour de France, 7 Giro d’Italia, and 4 Vuelta Espana stage victories.

Now he’s hanging up the bike.

In celebration of his epic career, Zwift is hosting a retirement ride on the Champs-Elysee route.
Who’s coming, you ask? Andre Greipel. His friends. And hopefully, you. Join the Gorilla as he leads a social ride and don’t forget to send a goodbye message his way.

Fight ALS!

In 2017, pro cyclist André Greipel’s mother passed away after a long fight with ALS (otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), after her initial diagnosis in 2013. ALS is a brain disease that impacts nerve cells, deteriorating muscle control and eventually paralyzing patients. Many die within five years after diagnosis.
Join us in support of André and his mission. With this ride on January 15th, we’re raising awareness and money to accelerate the pace of ALS research. The donations go entirely to ALS research at the DZNE, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases.

Join Greipel, the Zwift community and Pros alike as we ride to raise funds for ALS research.
