The Movistar eTeam, one of the best-known Zwift Racing League squads, wants to get involved with its community and support the Pedal to Empower event by World Bicycle Relief, an effort which aims at getting more women and children on bikes during World Bike Day.

Pedal to Empower wants to raise €20,000 through different fundraising campaigns, that will provide studients and health volunteers in underdeveloped countries, battling malaria and curing diseases, to have an easier, better life. The Movistar eTeam, established in March 2021, is the esports / virtual cycling branch of the world-famous Movistar Team, the longest standing structure in professional cycling. Its 10 members, coming from all different parts of Europe, have recently finished 3rd overall in the Zwift Racing League’s Premier Division. However, their goal goes way beyond that, looking to make their presence spark change in the cycling community as a whole.
