Join the CANYON//SRAM Racing | Zwift Academy

on July 28, 2017

We’re excited to announce that enrollment is now open for the CANYON//SRAM Racing | Zwift Academy 2017. Now in its second year, Zwift Academy brings together women Zwifters from around the world for organized rides, workouts, and races. Graduate from Zwift Academy and you’re guaranteed to build fitness and friendships. Last year, the Academy attracted athletes from 51 countries!

And there’s more, because Zwift Academy is also a talent-identification program. Top Zwift Academy graduates will progress through tougher Semi-Final and Final rounds of training and racing, and ultimately, one Zwift Academy graduate will earn a pro contract to ride in real life with the women’s 2018 CANYON//SRAM Racing team.

Here’s everything you need to get started:

Enroll

Sign up anytime between now and Sept. 15 at our Zwift Academy website. You must be female, 18 or older, and an amateur cyclist with no history as a pro. You’ll need an indoor trainer to participate.

The Academy

Zwift Academy lasts 6 weeks, from September 1 to October 13. To graduate or potentially go further, you’ll have to complete a program of 15 total rides, including five group rides, eight structured workouts, and two races. There will be options in all time zones for the group rides and races. You can do the structured workouts at your convenience. Graduate and you’ll receive an exclusive, in-game jersey, as well as real-world swag.

Semi-Finals

The Semi-Finals run from November 1 to November 22. Ten Semi-Finalists will take on a challenging program of workouts, outdoor rides and Zwift races. All Semi-Finalists will receive Wahoo indoor trainers, plus other cool gear.

Finals

The top three Academy graduates will be invited to join CANYON//SRAM Racing in mid-December at the team’s pre-season camp in Majorca, Spain. The all-expense-paid trip will feature challenging training and quality time with the team. After a lot of consideration and miles ridden, CANYON//SRAM Racing will offer one rider a pro contract for the 2018 season.

It’s more than a competition, it’s a community. Take the challenge, sign up today!
