“Community gives you a sense of belonging. Everyone wants to feel like they belong to something—no matter how small or how big it is. It’s a place to unapologetically be exactly who you are, a place to call home. When you have a strong community and the will to change things within your community for the better—that’s what’s important to me. It’s that aspect that can be such a conduit for so many things. A good example of this is the community on Zwift. But, like all things, I think we can bring more inclusion and diversion to it. The first step is simply talking about it. The second step is actually putting actions behind that talk. And the third is exposure. Because if I wasn’t exposed to the sport of cycling, I would have never known that it existed outside of seeing something on the TV about the Tour de France as a kid. So let’s talk about it. Let’s execute these ideas. And let’s continue to give athletes exposure to this sport. And then who knows how many people are going to impact when we fulfill those three things. It’s never a bad thing to bring in people from other communities, other cultures, or to talk to people who have different points of view, different personalities, and backgrounds. If everyone wants to be on the same page and truly be a part of the community—they should be.” - Rahsaan Bahati
