Stage 1: Innsbruck UCI Worlds Course brought to you by Dani Rowe
ABOUT DANI
With a two-time winter Olympian as her father, it’s no wonder Dani Rowe would grow into the athlete she is today. As an Olympic and three-time world champion, she kills it on the track. And with a Commonwealth Games bronze medal on the Gold Coast, second place at the Tour de Yorkshire, and third place at the Women’s Tour, she’s no slouch on the road either.
The 28-year-old owns a coaching business with husband Matt Rowe and recently announced her retirement, saying she was “privileged to go out on a high.”
“I’m totally addicted to Zwift,” Rowe says, “and now that I’ve retired from professional cycling, this gives me a great reason for me to keep riding my bike!”
THE STAGE
“The reason I've chosen Innsbruck as my stage of the Zwift VoxTour is because this was my last ever race as a professional cyclist. It holds really special memories for me and additionally i love the course itself. It has a bit of everything in terms of terrain from the long climb to a criterium style finish which includes a short sharp climb which really suits my strengths as a bike rider. It will be nice to ride this as part of the Zwift VoxTour and really enjoy the route instead of being engrossed in the bike race.”
