The Splunk SLAM is a legendary and popular group ride out of Greenwich, CT (USA). This is not a race, but the pace will steadily increase throughout the ride to full race speeds. We will start out at a 2.5w/kg warmup pace and the group leader will call out the increases in w/kg. The last hour will be 4w/kg and higher. The goal is to try and keep a good size blob throughout. If you decide to go off the front for a sprint or KOM, regroup. The ride leader will always stay with the main pack. People will be dropped. But hang on as long as you can. Challenge yourself, feel burn, enjoy the pain, and definitely come back next week. Its a SLAMtastic good time.
