For this week, BTMR's Mayhem event lands in Crit City for a fast, fun, and CRAZY time!
The Downtown Dolphin loop is only 1.2 miles (1.94 km) per lap, which means each group will go anywhere from 20 to 40 laps - Things will get a little crazy and perhaps even a bit chaotic.
However, we'd like to think of it as controlled chaotic fun... mayhem! What do we mean?
As usual at the start, riders will form groups with others going at similar speeds. Due to each lap being only 1.2 miles (1.94 km), over the course of the event, faster groups/riders will be continually merging with and attempting to pass slower ones.
Many of the riders being passed will attempt to hold on to the faster ones – getting into their draft – for as long as they can . So, new groups with a mixture of abilities will be continually and dynamically changing/forming throughout the ride.
So “mayhem” in this case means there will be a bit of chaos and some “crazy fun.” There is nothing else like this on Zwift, so you don't want to miss it!

ROUTE DESCRIPTION
The Crit City Downtown Dolphin Route is a mostly flat 1.2 miles (1.94 km) per lap. It features “dead turns, an uphill prime section, a lap counter, and sharp corners with sightlines on city streets. RACE RULES
In order to keep this fair, please choose the correct category based on your FTP in w/kg or your Zwift Power designated category.
D: 1.5 to 2.5 w/kg
C: 2.5 to 3.2 w/kg
B: 3.2 to 4.0 w/kg
A: 4.0 to 5.0 w/kg
If you race below your Zwift power category you will be automatically disqualified and removed from the results.
