EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Phoenix Rising United ride is designed to leave the stresses of the day behind us. We're here for you to help you turn your day around, or to make a great day shine even brighter. We are here for your recovery, warm up/cool down, or threshold workout. Whatever your reasons are, we've got you covered. Our average pace is 26-30kph (16-19mph) with power target average of 1.4 to 1.7 W/kg, and our leaders will not exceed those paces regardless of the route. The leader has the option to activate the no-kick fence to visually guide riders to understand where their position is relative to the leader. Our objective, as with all Phoenix Rising group rides, is to share some friendly banter and enjoy the camaraderie. We employ a fabulous group of sweepers to accompany and/or help riders rejoin the main yellow group. We intend that no one ride alone, unless they want to do so.
We will ride a variety of routes, mainly flatter routes, but we will occasionally do some fun climbing to add a little spice. Please feel free to suggest a route you would like to try sometime, or a badge you need that can be completed in a 60-minute time period. We're happy to add suggestions to the ride list.
