EVENT DESCRIPTION
Zwift Academy is a training program, designed across 8 weeks featuring 10 different workouts and activities that will give you the tools to get after your training goals, whatever they may be. For a detailed program overview, please see https://www.zwift.com/academy/zaroadOpens a new window.

Great training begins with clear performance measurement. You started Zwift Academy with a Baseline event, now it’s time to end strong with a Finish Line event to see your progress.

This Finish Line Ride is where you’ll end your Academy journey, ideally with a solid read on your progress after all that hard work. Want the best possible chance to set extraordinary times on each segment? Come as rested as possible and give yourself recovery between each effort. Use your knowledge from the previous Baseline ride to gauge your pacing between each segment, really focus on giving your all on each effort.

Choose a Finish Line category:
A: Advanced Ride (Open)
B: Advanced Ride (Women-only)
C: Standard Ride (Open)
D: Standard Ride (Women-only)

A few things to note to get the most out of the event.

Drafting and power ups are turned off so that your segment efforts are measured accurately.

You will hit the segments at the following markers, in that order.
Look out for the leaderboard to pop up on your screen and the segment start is a flashing line across the road. Go hard until you see the Zwift Academy arch!

Advanced Baseline Ride
Short Segment starts at 2.6 km / 1.6 mi
Medium Segment starts at: 11.9 km / 7.4 mi
Long Segment starts at: 21.7 km / 13.5 mi

Standard Baseline Ride
Medium Segment starts at: 4.3 km / 2.6 mi
Short Segment starts at: 16.8 km / 10.2 mi
Long Segment starts at: 21.3 km / 13.2 mi

Coaches’ Tip: Plan ahead! To get the most accurate progress results for Zwift Academy, you’ll want to choose the same course (Advanced or Standard) for your Baseline and Finish Line rides. Pro-Contenders: the Advanced Baseline and Finish Line rides are required events.

The Advanced Finish Line Ride will be on CLIMBERS GAMBIT. You’ll be putting your fast-twitch muscle fibers to work off the bat, hitting a sprint right at the start on the 656 ft // 200m Sprint Reverse segment. Next, we’ll move on to the Titans Grove Reverse KOM, a 2,952 ft // 900m stretch that’s the perfect way to check on your development at a level that really pushes your glycolytic system and stresses your ability to go hard for around 1–2min+. Finally, we take on the Epic KOM Reverse. At 3.9 mi // 6.3 km, this is the perfect place to see your FTP gains come to life with high-power sustained efforts lasting ~20min. Pace it well and empty the tank in this last challenge. Looking to go pro? This Finish Line ride is a required event.

Route:
Lead-in: 669.6 ft // 204.1 m

The Standard Finish Line Ride will be on LEGENDS AND LAVA.
Starting with the Titans Grove Reverse KOM, you’ll fire off hard efforts across 2,952 ft // 900m of tarmac at a 6.6% incline to see your progress in anaerobic power. Be sure to clear any lactate by riding easy before heading into the 1,312 ft // 400m Sprint Forward. For optimal performance here, select good gear and really dig deep—you’re almost there! Finally, the real test will be on the 2.3 mi // 3.8 km Volcano KOM. This will see you hit your VO2 max, holding it for as long as you can on this rolling climb. Leave nothing on the table as you go hard and climb to the finish line.

Route:
Lead-in: 666 ft // 203 m
