EVENT DESCRIPTION

This event is designed to be run as a group with the emphasis on all finishing together.

The run will be formed of a series of Walk/Run intervals. The run interval will be for 90 seconds at at speed of 5mph (8kph) which is a pace of 12:00 min/mile (7:30min/km). The walk will be for 60 seconds at 3.2mph (5.1kph) which is a pace of 11:45 min/km 18:45 min/mile (11:45 min/km).

When there is a group leader present, the workout may be spiced up a bit. Expect treadmill incline challenges, speed surges, and mini chases using the specified intervals as a base pace. You can choose to just stick to the base workout or join in on the fun of the challenge.

Every effort will be made to try to keep the group together.

Please get your treadmills to speed and start running 30 seconds before the event start to ensure we all get off the line together. Don't worry, you can run in the start pen on a virtual treadmill.

NOTE - If joining this event it is important that you are willing to compromise your own speed to ensure everyone running has an enjoyable experience.
