EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Icelandic Zwift Riders (IZE) ride their third annual New Year's Eve Ride, focusing on recovering from the past year and relaxing for the new year.
This is a no-drop group recovery ride at a comfortable pace; we start out at 160-180 W until we are in the tunnel, then keep 1.75 to 2.25 W/kg, 180-200 W on the flat sections; with an emphasis on keeping the group together. Stronger riders should stay at the front without breaking off and at the top of the climbs we soft-pedal (less than 100 W) until the group has come together again.
Join us for a nice Figure 8 around Watopia to start your New Year’s Eve.
