イベント概要
Today's workout combines aerobic endurance, high-cadence ramps, and Tempo. We'll begin with a warmup that includes fast pedals before moving into steady Endurance riding with repeated cadence ramps. A Tempo block adds a sustained aerobic effort before we finish with a five minute cooldown.
WHY WE'RE DOING IT
Building aerobic capacity is a central focus of our base training. The endurance work supports that foundation, while the cadence ramps help develop neuromuscular efficiency and coordination. The goal is to produce efficient power across a range of cadences. The Tempo block adds an intensive aerobic stimulus to develop endurance, with attention to controlling the effort and managing fatigue.
HOW TO EXECUTE IT
Stay within the prescribed power ranges. More power adds training stress and can take you away from the purpose of the session.
Increase cadence smoothly through each ramp. Keep your upper body quiet and your pedal stroke controlled.
Follow the cadence changes while maintaining the prescribed power. Focus on producing power efficiently as your pedaling speed changes.
Keep the Tempo block steady. Pay attention to breathing, leg fatigue, and movement quality rather than pushing beyond the target.
POWERED BY ENVE
ENVE designs performance equipment around what matters in the real world: speed, handling, efficiency, and confidence. Their wheels and components are engineered to help riders go faster, not just in the wind tunnel, but also on the roads and gravel we actually ride. Visit them at enve.com.
A FULLY COACH-LED WORKOUT
This isn't just a workout you follow on the screen. BaseCamp coaches lead the session live, explaining why we're doing each effort, how to execute it correctly, and what you should be feeling along the way. Our goal is simple: complete the workout and understand the training behind it.
