EVENT DESCRIPTION
TBR Crispy CRITters is a 38 kilometre group ride with group efforts. We have fun and work as a team to help each other get stronger. Yes we chat because we love banter and enjoy suffering as a group.
3 laps warm up.
14 laps alternating 1 lap @ 3.5w/kg then 1 lap below 2w/kg. Total 7 effort laps. Proper efforts require proper recovery.
1 lap extra recovery.
2 optional race laps. This is your chance to really roast those CRITters, add some seasoning, and turn the heat right up. The crispier the better!
This ride is for anyone trying to manage and maintain efforts during a Crit race. With lots of short efforts in appropriate zones, we aim to supercharge your engine so over time you will gain the ability to rev it hard and hold it. We ride hard but recover harder.
Sounds too painful? Feel free to do as many efforts as you can. The crit course is only 1.9K so ease back, rest up and re-join as the pack comes back around.
Sounds too easy? At 3.5w/kg you'll still get a great workout if you are at 85% of FTP. Save your energy till the final 2 laps, and train to be able to step it up in the final moments.
A ride report will be posted on The Big Ring (TBR) Facebook group.
This ride uses the fence as it is easy to push too hard during the rest period. It will be a good reminder to ease and regroup for the next effort. We want to work as a team, and suffer together.
