EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join your pace group and get work together towards a specific goal!
B - Steady 10K Progressive Run
Start your running week with a steady 10K group run but with a bit of a twist to wake up the legs for harder sessions later in the week. We will start at a comfortable 11.4 kph (7.1 mph) and increase the pace 0.2 kph every kilometer (0.6 miles) so that the final kilometer will be at 13 kph (8.1 mph). We will then carry on for an additional 500 metres at a comfortable 10 kph (6.2 mph) for a warm down and have some chat. The leader will text instructions as we go. Faster group A runners are welcome to join for an easy run but the idea is to stay together.
We suggest you calibrate your foot pod at 12 kph (7.5 mph) for this run.
Stephen Cousins will be streaming the event live on Zwift Community Live and providing his usual incisive chat about all things Zwift Running while he hopefully runs along with the group.
C - Steady Run 4K (2.5 miles)
Join the Zwift Runners for a steady group run of 4K. We will start at 9.5 kph (5.9 mph) for the first 1.5K (almost a mile), then 10 kph (6.2 mph) for the next 1.5K and finish with the final K (0.6 miles) at 10.5 kph (6.5 mph).
This run is particularly suitable for those who have not yet been able to try a group run but are looking for some runners to run with. We hope to have a beacon for this run for you to follow.
D - Steady Run 3K (2 miles)
Join the Zwift Runners for a steady group run of 3K. We will start at 7.5 kph (4.7 mph) for the first K (0.6 miles) and then do the rest of the run at 8 kph (5 mph).
This run is particularly suitable for those who have not yet been able to try a group run but are looking for some runners to run with. We hope to have a beacon for this run for you to follow.
