Last week Zwift traveled to Brooklyn, NY in partnership with Jaybird Sports for an unofficial launch of our New York City world map, featuring its new Central Park running paths. It just so happened to be the weekend of another big running event in NYC.
Over two days in NYC, Zwift welcomed 70 influencers and media to the Jaybird Hub for a pre race shake out run.
Jaybird staff welcomed runners before leading them up to the Zwift experience.
The two day program consisted of hosting 7 runners at a time for an intimate running experience on Zwift.
Once upstairs, each runner was accompanied by a Zwift staff member to answer any questions. We were set up on bluetooth treadmills from TRUE, which meant runners could hop on and begin running immediately without the need to pair additional devices, but of first they needed to design their avatar.
As the runners set out on our new NYC running paths, Zwift staff was available for a one-on-one tutorial on how to start Zwifting, information on group runs and Zwift training plans.

The biggest misconception with Zwift is that you need to own a treadmill to run in Zwift, getting into the game is relatively easy, anyone with a foot pod (speed sensor), tablet, wifi and treadmill access can Zwift.

Do it for the Gram! Sharing is caring.
All smiles after finishing their Zwift running experience. It was amazing spending time with the running community and showing them our take on NYC. Hope to see you on the roads soon!
Thanks to Jaybird for sharing their space and partnering with us for this unique event.
