Aussie Hump Day Ride (AHDR)
Established in April 2016 by Tim “the Bacon” Searle for Zwifter’s living "Down Under" in Australia the Hump Day Ride was born. Wednesday in Australia is known as the Hump Day as we are halfway to the weekend. Initial Hump Day Rides saw 30 - 40 riders turning up. Soon that number grew to well over 100 riders with some weeks hitting well over 200. With the popularity of Zwift more AHDR Club rides soon followed.
AHDR hosts weekly Group rides and races 7 days a week catering for all. AHDR has a strong and supportive Women's section with the AHDRL Women's Team. Each day sees an early Breakfast group ride. Tuesday night is the Women’s AHDRL group ride. Wednesday night is the Hump Day Ride which starts off as a group ride before an afterparty race to the finish. Thursday night sees the AHDR Chop race which is a chaser style handicap race. And the weekend has the Breakfast rides to finish off the week. AHDR has a very strong racing community with the Team AHDR Racing Teams which race in multiple global series throughout the year. Mid year Team AHDR Racing hosts the AHDR Winter Tour's for Women and a Mixed tour.
We focus on inclusiveness and celebrating achievements. Riders can expect to join well led rides with experienced ride leaders with good group sizes.

HOW DOES RACING SCORE WORK?
A new racer's score, known as the seed score, is initially determined by evaluating both short and long efforts, with adjustments made to ensure fairness across different types of racers. This performance is then converted into a simple score between 0-1000. Finishing higher against stronger competition results in a more significant boost to your score, while lower placements or less participation may lead to smaller gains or a slight drop, ensuring a fair and accurate reflection of your progress.
